Samsung has set a good pace to update its flagship smartphones to Android 11, and now, after a brief beta that started in December, the update has expanded to hit several of the company’s mid-range phones. . The updates are rolling out long before the roadmap Samsung shared in December and are now starting to arrive on the Galaxy A51 5G, A71 5G, M30 and M31.

The updated M30 weighs in at around 2GB and has only been spotted in India so far. In addition to bringing all the sophisticated new features of Android 11, Samsung’s One user interface has been refined and improved. In the changelog, I noticed that Smart View no longer supports Google Cast, which means you cannot share your screen with a Chromecast device or Android TV. I rarely use this feature, but even so it was useful and something that I will miss. It also means the Wireless DeX won’t be compatible with these devices, which is even more of a shame.

In addition to the updates for the A51 5G and A71 5G, we are also receiving preliminary reports on the availability of the M31s, although so far limited to Russia and Ukraine.
