Some "Game of Thrones" fans have accidentally accessed the second episode of Season 8 quickly after the publication of a video leak of Amazon Prime in Germany.
In the / freefolk subdirectory, some Reddit users reported being able to watch the second episode, even though it has not yet been broadcast on its home network HBO. People in Germany who subscribed to the Amazon Prime video and bought Season 8 were able to access this unpublished episode by watching the premiere of Season 8 until the credits. After the credits, episode 1 is immediately passed to the second episode not broadcast without warning.
Some fans were excited to have access to the new episode for the first time and others asked where they could view the leaked content themselves.
But others were disappointed by the spoilers.
A Reddit user has even suggested a method for people who want to watch the episode leaked, whether they live in Germany or not.
This is not the first time that an episode of Game of Thrones has leaked before the broadcast time. The first of season 8, which is also the last season of Game of Thrones, was unveiled last week. The leak occurred when DirecTV Now aired episode 1 four hours before its actual release time, Sunday at 9 pm Eastern Standard Time.
"Apparently, our system was as enthusiastic as we are for Game of Thrones tonight and gave some DirecTV Now customers quick access to the episode by mistake," AT & T representative told INSIDER. "When we became aware of the mistake, we immediately corrected it and we look forward to tuning ourselves tonight."
The leak and the escape from episode 2 have been removed from Amazon Prime.
