Retailers often try to start Black Friday as early as possible to involve as many people as possible, and GameStop is no exception this year, with the game retailer already offering some great deals. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch games, along with accessories and other gaming needs, are now discounted during the Black Friday countdown sale that is running right now. We’ll be seeing this type of live sale for several days through GameStop with rotating deals until the Black Friday events are in full swing.
While the deals did start early, the catch with the first Black Friday deals at GameStop is that not all of them will be available for the duration of the Countdown Sale. The first day is still going for a few hours as this is written, and after that, offers will be exchanged for others, although some may persist until the next day. These countdown days will run until November 18.
Aside from this caveat, it should be noted that some of the games on sale during the event are new while others are used. We’ve included a sample of some of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch games on sale below, along with their discounted pricing. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 deals are the same for now, so they’ve been included in the same list.

These types of GameStop offers are naturally not the best of the best that we’ll be getting from the start of the sale, but the fact that it lasts several days before Black Friday itself means you should be able to find at least one thing you like throughout the sale. Things like controllers and other accessories are also discounted to go with the games.
If you choose a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One game, it’s also worth remembering that many of them will benefit or have already gotten free upgrades to the next-gen Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. Those who have already purchased their new consoles or are planning to get one or the other will be able to play these games on the new consoles whether or not they get next-gen upgrades.
