Trump tweeted: “He won because the election was rigged,” before continuing to blame his loss on debunked theories about the election.

In a follow-up tweet soon after, Trump maintained his false belief that he might be able to win the election and refused to concede. “I won’t concede ANYTHING! We have a long way to go,” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s tweets follow a Saturday spent golfing and tweeting similar false conspiracy theories, and driven by a crowd of his supporters who gathered in Washington to protest the election results on the basis of its lies and its propaganda.

Trump has repeatedly claimed without evidence that his chance for a second term was stolen from him with corrupt votes. A previous CNN fact-check on the allegations of a handful of prominent Republicans, including Trump’s family members and supporters like former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and the former acting director of the National Intelligence Richard Grenell of Deceased Voting in Michigan Collapsed Under Review.
