VIENNA CHILE COOKOFF OUTFIT; The Vienna Neighborhood Watch will host a chili bake from 4 pm to 6 pm Monday at the Vienna Fire Station on National Route 193. The event will take place in or take out.

REQUEST NOMINATIONS: The Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame of the Warren City Schools Foundation is currently seeking nominations for the 2022 class. Outstanding graduates will be inducted at the 29th annual ceremony in May 2022. Recipients are graduates who have made contributions important in their fields. An applicant must be a graduate of one of Warren’s three public high schools: Warren High School, Warren G. Harding, or Warren Western Reserve. The first Hall of Fame class was inducted in May 1993. Nomination forms are available at the Education Office or on the Warren City Schools website at www.warrencityschools.org under Alumni Hall of Fame. The deadline for nominations is November 1. FALL FESTIVAL: The Liberty Township Fall Festival will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 17 at Churchill Park on Belmont Avenue. The event includes a chest or treat, face painting, bounce house, and refreshments.

AUTHOR OF THE CRIME: The Girard Free Library will welcome real-life criminal writer Jane Ann Turzillo at 6 p.m. Thursday. She will tell from Ohio of mean women in history. Turzillo is a fellow of the Society of Professional Journalists and of the Mystery Women of America. She will have books to sell and sign. Registration for the program is required at 330-545-2508. Masks are strongly encouraged.

AWARENESS WALK: The Stomp Out Stigma walk will take place at 1 p.m. October 17 at Harding Park in Hubbard. Registration is at noon. There will be a raffle of baskets. The event is designed to raise awareness and prevent suicide with proceeds to benefit Trumbull County LOSS.

AWL FUNDRAISER: The Animal Welfare League will be holding a Designer Purse Bingo fundraiser from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 E. Market St., Howland. The profits will go to the league.

BUILDING CLOSED: The Trumbull County Administrative Building, 160 High St. NW, Warren, will be closed on Tuesday for replacement of heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
