The former neighborhood watch volunteer who killed an unarmed black teenager in Florida in 2012 has been banned from the Tinder dating app.
An e-mail statement from Tinder cited user safety as the reason for removing George Zimmermans' profile.
According to an article in the weekly Creative Loafing of Tampa, Florida, Zimmerman used a fake name on the dating app.
Zimmerman was acquitted after shooting Trayvon Martin for self-defense.
He has had several troubles with the law, including an arrest in 2015 after being accused of throwing a bottle of wine on his girlfriend. The case has been abandoned.
In November, he pleaded guilty to criminal harassment of a private investigator associated with a Martin documentary.
