Initial observations:
For the moment…
Texas and Oklahoma are not supposed to come to the SEC until they wait for their current TV contract to end or buy out their current TV contract which expires after the season. 2023. Most members of the college football world are convinced that the Longhorns and Sooners will likely be at the conference much earlier than in 2024, even as early as next year, which would completely upend the schedule.
Season beginner
The 2021 season in Georgia began a decade of non-conference games like Clemson. In 2022, they will kick off against Mario Cristobal and the Oregon Ducks in Atlanta. It will essentially be another home game on the schedule for how far the Ducks will travel.
Crossing schedule
It doesn’t get much easier for Georgia in terms of cross-play than Auburn – the constant crossover – and the state of Mississippi. No Alabama, no LSU, no Texas A&M. It’s a favorable clash for Georgia even though it is in Starkville.
