One day before Georgia’s home opener against UAB, we sat down with each staff member to get their final predictions on the game.
Brooks Austin: Georgia 34, UAB 6
Even though JT Daniels was playing, with how Georgia are struggling with health issues and finding an identity offensively, I find it hard to believe they racked up an exorbitant number of points on Saturday. Combine that with the fact that the UAB will try to run the game, I just don’t see this game as a high scoring affair. It will be a defensive football game, with Georgia in the second half.
Harrison Reno: Georgia 31, UAB 3
With JT Daniels questionable for Saturday’s home opener inside Sanford Stadium, I expect Georgia to rely heavily on the running game as they always have. With Georgia’s strong running game paired with a top defense, the Dawgs should beat UAB comfortably to move up to 2-0 this season.
Robert Crosby: Georgia 28, UAB 7
Georgia enter the week more battered than it was last week and will face one of the best race defenses in the country compared to last year at UAB. The Dawgs should still be successful, but it won’t be easy. That all changes if Georgia feels comfortable opening it offensively.
Jonathan Williams: Georgia 31, UAB 10
Georgia still have a few key pieces missing in attack for this game against UAB, which will limit them with their dynamism on the offensive end of the ball. Regardless of the injuries, however, Georgia’s defense will do the job and offense will prevail to help Georgia secure their second victory of the season.
