The musical city of Hamburg will enrich an attraction from 2020: the first production in German of the play "Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child" will be presented in preview at the Mehr Theater! J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany's play was premiered at London West End 2016, the day after the screenplay. The play is currently on Broadway in New York, followed in 2019 by San Francisco and Melbourne. The London version has been awarded the prestigious British Oliver Theater Prize in nine categories.
In Hamburg, the eighth story of Harry Potter is produced exclusively for the German-speaking countries. In May of next year, major renovation works are to begin in the Theater am Großmarkt. The pre-sale launch information will follow in the coming months, producers write in their statement.
"Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child" will be shown in two parts, viewers can attend both parties in one day or two consecutive nights
The plot begins where the seventh ends and last part of the novels. Harry is now a retired civil servant at the Ministry of Magic. He has a difficult relationship with his son Albus Severus. To prove himself, Albus wants to correct a mistake from his father with the help of a trip back in time.
