The plane was en route from Guadalupe Victoria International Airport to Mexico City, said Governor Jose Aispuro on Mexican television. The accident occurred about ten kilometers from the airport.
According to the Department of Transport, there were 97 pbadengers and four crew members on board. 85 people were injured. According to Aispuro, there were no casualties in the accident.
