The aging furniture retailer Johnny de Groot (Roland Koch) spends his evenings under the sign of the best puff – preferably with Zora (Almila Bagriacik), "such daughter of Armenia", as affectionately called her employers. Johnny promised his prostitute to get her out of the brothel at some point. Until now, however, she is waiting for concrete measures in vain – and it seems that nothing will come out of it. Because Johnny is heartbroken, he collapsed lifeless on the young body of the Caucasian bad worker. There were more aesthetic opening sequences.

In shock, Zora immediately triggers an alarm. For this, they once cumbersome, cumbersome encumbrance: Because if the police arrive and unexplained deaths are triggered, it will open investigations, which will paralyze the company for days. Bad for business. So they do the only logical thing – and play "Bernie's Weekend": the old bag is put back and placed in front of a drink at the bar, as if nothing had happened.

The police, led by Erichsen (Armin Rohde) and rookie Elias Zekarias (Tedros Teclebrhan), is of course stupid enough to crack for the old round. Old men collapsed in puff bars, the sound is no longer broadcast – this seems to be a common sight in their pool. The cops are withdrawing, led by two gangsters too stupid to empty a bucket of water.

The announcement Hamburger cancels the notification of a missing person that several years later, Anita (Natalia Wörner), wife of de Groot, cancels Keops KopsOf course, no one in the breath can remember anything – and Johnny's lifeless body has been long stricken by the bar. Sex worker Zora escapes hastily, the two underexposed brothel operators are arrested.

At that time, they had already driven what was left of Johnny de Groot in the forest to bury his body – the way to do it in the middle. Until they realize that the corpse was not a corpse at a time: suddenly Johnny opens his eyes, gets up and urinates against a tree. Throw the corpse? No thanks, it's done. Author and director Lars Becker seems to be not only a fan of "Weekend at Bernie's", but also one of the worst parodies of "Scary-Movie".

Puffinger Johnny still has to believe it: he had – always an imprudent step, when one is alone with scammers in the forest – began to blackmail the gangsters and asked them to free his Armenians. A few bullets later in his body, he was not so strong – and a random birdwatcher squatting nearby was richer with a nasty anecdote that could even turn into money.

This demolition is a crucial issue, which also depends on any thorough evaluation of this brutal new episode: "Night work": Is the comic so intentionally – or the result of the complete failure to release a serious story with comical trivia? To put it a little harder: was the "night shift" intentionally ridiculed in this episode – or was it involuntary in this self-parody?

Let's start with the case, which is more favorable for the creators – and indeed by the malicious play of the actors of the episode (but not by the dreary and gloomy look of Barbara Auer) and by the particular joy of the show. absurd, whose scenario seemed to have already been reached at an early stage in this direction. If this hypothesis is correct, we would also like to take the hat from the sometimes tired dandruff and curious curiosities: For the thrillers with an irony of self, which do not just let go of "unequal couples of investigators" or intellectual nerds on the public, do you see Making legal deciphering is not a daily problem, especially not when they are satirizing their own genre and the very special style of German TV movies, such as "Die Zeit der Tod ".

With the most stupid criminals since "Fargo" and Tedros Teclebrhan as new Right man (Given his early work, we can hardly believe it), the "Nachtschicht" managed to make a nice turn. If it was wanted.

The ZDF shows "The Night Team – Long Life to Death" on Monday, November 12th at 20:15.
