Los Angeles –

Andrew Lincoln shocked fans of "The Walking Dead" by announcing that the upcoming season will be his.

The serial hero "Rick Grimes" is only available in six episodes

And our interview should be one of his latest cult series

See the first bad zombie on "The Walking Dead" – and that's what it looks like (plus here).

Tears came after the last mouth he fell for you?
Andrew Lincoln
: Not here. I was relieved to have finished such a beautiful thing. I did not even think about mourning.

Later, though?
Andrew Lincoln : Of course! I have been with The Walking Dead for almost a decade and I have an incredible journey behind me. After publishing the farewell a few days ago, I was very moved. But I'm not someone who screams in public. I will pick it up when I am in front of the camera.

They are no longer in all episodes …
Andrew Lincoln : … but definitely in the last two episodes of the ninth season. And I promise you, these are my favorite episodes. The best I have ever done. How my story ends is just awesome.

After ten years, Andrew Lincoln comes down from the zombie series.

Why did you decide to leave the show?
Andrew Lincoln : For the sake of my family alone. My two children are now in their old age (the Matilda girl is 11, the son Arthur 8), where we can not bring her all the time on the set. I can not bear that they take it to heart when they see me so rarely. I can not ignore his pain. And my wife Gael has been a lonely mother for a long time. She did well, but almost ten years is enough

What will you miss the most?
Andrew Lincoln: The sunrise in Georgia on the way to work, my cowboy boots, my Stetson hat and my crows. And the jokes we all played. Of course, I will mostly miss colleagues and the crew, the living and the undead.

Are there things you will not miss?
Andrew Lincoln: But yes. Sunrise on the way to work (laughs). The alarm clock at 4:30 in the morning, ticks and snakes. And how have I constantly lost my hard earned money against my colleague Norman Reedus in backgammon. He is the greatest lucky of all time

What are your next projects?
Andrew Lincoln : I promised my wife nine years ago that we would return to England at the end of the series. It took a little longer. We wanted to live in the countryside near the grandparents of our children. And we will do it now. I am and I am a proud citizen of Great Britain, but I have learned to love America and the people.

Speaking of grandparents. How do your kids think their grandfather, Ian Anderson, is a rock legend?

Andrew Lincoln: My children love my stepfather a lot. It's just an amazing number. His group Jethro Tull still plays in front of sold-out houses after 50 years. The children attended a concert for the first time the other day and, like their mother, they were selling programs in front of the hallway. They were as proud as Oscar. However, they do not have to call grandfather Ian. He does not like that. He just wants to call Ian.
