The Wacken Open Air festival takes place at the beginning of August in the city of the same name. Which groups play? And where are the concerts to see live and in the stream?
In the small Wacken community in Schleswig-Holstein, the Wacken Open Air W: O: A has been held since 1990, which has become one of the largest heavy metal festivals developed in the world. In 2018, the festival will run from August 2nd to 4th. The first concerts will be heard on Wednesday, August 1st.
Highlights of this year include Nightwish, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Apocalyptic Horsemen and In Extremo. Also Comedian Otto Waalkes comes with the "Friesenjungs" to Wacken – he plays on Friday at 0.15 pm.

Wacken Open Air 2018 on TV and Live
Like last year, the Metal Festival will be part of the 360 degree livestream of Deutsche Telekom. This can be reached via the homepage www.magenta-musik-360.de or via the badociated application. It also works on EntertainTV.
In the live stream, several 360-degree HD cameras are used, which, according to the telecoms, can convey an average sensation. Concerts will be presented on the two main stages – the Harder and Faster scenes.
3sat broadcasts the best numbers of the festival live on television on Saturday, August 4 from 20:15 to 12:15. He is moderated by Markus Kavka and Rainer Maria Jilg. 3sat also transmits its complete program as a stream on the Internet.
The Wacken Festival has its own YouTube channel, where many videos can already be found in advance.
