Hello, New York Giants fans!

Leonard Williams: “Players who want to win” like Joe Judge

Joe Judge’s style isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. He’s a young head coach with an old school attitude. Want to play or work for Judge? Check your ego at the door and buy into his team mentality first and his willingness, as he puts it, to be brutally honest with those under his direction.

Golden Tate has learned that Judge means what he says. Marc Colombo learned. Defensive lineman Leonard Williams, a sixth-year player who has yet to make a playoff game, was frank on Monday when asked to play for the judge.

“His coaching style is good for players who want to win and who want to play hard, train hard and understand that your practice reflects the way you play. Guys who are willing to join a program are going to be successful in a system like that, ”Williams said. “There are obviously guys who are a little harder to train and a little harder to get into the systems. They might be a bit more difficult to line up.

“At the same time, when you’re part of this team, you kind of feel the atmosphere of everyone coming on. Even guys who are a little harder to coach, once they see the rest of their teammates join in, they’ll eventually come too. I think this is a great way to practice. I think it shows that we have a tough team. I have the impression that after losses or victories, we go back to work. I think it’s a helmet type team that wants to work and work.

McKinney, Ximines “have a chance on Sunday”

Safety Xavier McKinney and edge Oshane Ximines resumed training for the Giants on Monday. The Giants have 21 days to decide whether to activate them or leave them in IR for the remainder of the season. The judge said Monday the two could be added to the roster for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I think both have a chance for Sunday. Today was the first day to bring them both back there. I would say both of them moved well, both were really flying around the pitch today doing what we needed to do, ”said the judge. “But it was mostly an individual type of work today. When we go into Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, we kind of see them in a more team setting. On Wednesday we’re going to put on the pads, see them pop the pads a bit and see how their body responds to it. It will really tell the story of the weekend. I don’t want to exclude anyone. “
