Sterling Shepard apparently wants the only toy he just can not have.
Kyler Murray will almost certainly be the face of the cardinals just after 8 pm Thursday night, except for a surprise of Arizona and the turn of the Giants out of the sought-after mold.
That will not stop the receiver of Big Blue from slipping into the No. 1 pick – and his former colleague from Oklahoma – before the NFL draft in Nashville.
"The best player in this project, I think, is Kyler Murray," Murray recently told The Checkdown. "I have to go with the guy from the hometown.

Heisman's polarizing and winning prospect met with Giants officials in East Rutherford, New Jersey earlier this month, but is presumed to be hesitant about his 5-foot-10 figure.
"I think in this system, with these guys, I can be very dangerous," Murray told the NFL Scouting Combine in March. "At the same time, I can not choose where I am going.
