Although the Yankees are in the middle of an overall successful 2019 season, despite a series of injuries, there is no reason to believe that second place in the division behind the Tampa Bay Rays is second. Zack Britton managed things in the eighth and Aroldis Chapman closed the door in the ninth and the Yankees have won their sixth victory in their last eight games. It certainly was not a great victory, but hey, they can not all be masterpieces.
The Yankees will try to stay the course and take the lead of the division with a win tomorrow. CC Sabathia will pick up the Yankees, while the starter of the Rays is to be determined and should be a first match.
