ABC News presenter Dan Harris, who directs Hello americaweekend edition GMA weekend, will be leaving the network, he said on the Sunday morning show.

Harris said he will be leaving ABC in two months so he can focus on his meditation company, Ten Percent Happier, which he founded in 2013.

“It was a tough decision for me,” Harris said Sunday. “As some of you may know, I spent a lot of time on my extracurricular work, my side business, a meditation business called Ten Percent Happier. It’s been a lot to juggle and while I’m a public supporter of work-life balance, if I’m being honest, I’ve had a hard time following my own advice.

He founded Ten Percent Happier after suffering an on-air panic attack during Hello america in 2004. He will then write a book recounting the experience and what happened thereafter called 10% happier: how I tamed the voice in my head, reduced stress without losing my edge, and found autonomy that actually works.

Harris joined ABC News in 2000, covering the war in Afghanistan and Hurricane Katrina, among other important stories. He was named presenter of GMA Weekend in 2010.
