GolfWeek: LPGA and Chevron to release Coachella Valley ANA Inspiration

Major changes are planned for the ANA Inspiration in Rancho mirage, formerly the Dinah Shore, which could see the Coachella Valley lose one of its flagship events.

Golf week reported On Tuesday morning, Chevron will become the event’s new title sponsor and team up with ANA for this winter’s event at Rancho Mirage, but then move him away from the only home he’s ever known, possibly in the Houston area.

Chevron and the LPGA’s move will instill more prize in the players, but also mark a huge financial loss and prestige for the Coachella Valley golf and tourism industry.
