Google Lens made a splash at I / O a few years ago, but the final product was bony and hard to find. Google has worked to make Lens a little more places and this is becoming more and more useful. Today, at I / O, Google has unveiled several new awesome features of Lens. However, you must always remember to use them.

Soon, Lens can help you get things done when you want to eat. You will be able to direct your phone to a menu and get the most popular items highlighted on the screen. We do not know how widespread this feature will be. In some restaurants at least, Lens will also show you photos of menu items.

When the check arrives, Lens can help you calculate the tip. When you point Lens on the check, you get a calculator overlay that calculates the tip. You can also separate the bill from Lens.

For Android Go users, an additional feature is intended to address the unique issues that these users encounter. Lens can highlight text on signs, forms, and other items and then re-read it. If you do not speak the language of this object, Lens can translate it instantly and read it again. It currently works with over a dozen languages and occupies only 100 KB of storage. To be clear, Google only introduced this on Go, but that could be part of Lens's normal experience later.

All of these features will be deployed on phones during the summer.
