Former representative Trey Gowdy reacted Friday to the appearance of former FBI director James Comey at a CNN city hall this week, saying that Comey thought he "still managed to write the moral scenario ".

Comey said at the plenary session that people like outgoing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein are not "of character".

And then, they start telling each other a story to justify their trapping: "Yeah, it's awful, but the country needs me," said Comey to host Anderson Cooper.

During the event, Comey also told Cooper that he had tried to avoid becoming like Rosenstein and other "co-opted" members of the administration. 39, openly opposing President Trump in the Oval Office.
Gowdy told animator Jason Chaffetz that Comey apparently believed that he was right, and that "everyone was wrong."
