GRAFTON, Wisconsin – Neighbors speak out as a Grafton pharmacist remains jailed tonight over allegations he has deliberately allowed hundreds of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to spoil.

TMJ4 News does not name him because he has not been officially charged.

“I just saw the police surround the house. They had been here for a long time, ”said Drew Windsor, a neighbor who saw police in the area when the pharmacist was taken into custody.

The quiet area of Grafton is in the national spotlight after police take one of the owners into custody.

The man is accused of destroying dozens of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine vials on purpose.

“Shocking. To put it in a nutshell. Shocking,” said Timothy Skow, another neighbor.

Skow lives a short walk from the neighbor who worked at the Advocate Aurora Hospital in Grafton as a pharmacist. Aurora fired him after police said he intentionally tampered with nearly 600 doses of Moderna covid-19 vaccine by leaving them unrefrigerated, rendering them unnecessary.

He is now being held in the Ozaukee County Jail on three separate counts.

“For something like this to happen and the vaccines to be falsified.” It’s a shame, ”Windsor said.

TMJ4 News went to the pharmacist in hopes of talking to someone else who could live with him, but no one answered a knock on his door.

Despite a previously cordial relationship, Skow now has very strong feelings about his neighbor and the crimes he is accused of committing.

“You are a pharmacist, you know what this pandemic can do to people. I hope you sit down in a cell and spend the rest of your life there, ”Skow said.

The charges against the former pharmacist recklessly endanger safety in the first degree, tamper with a prescription drug and damage property.

TMJ4 News contacted Grafton Police today for an update on the case, but has not received a response.

Charges against the pharmacist are expected to drop next week.
