Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Lindsey Graham, R-S, said Thursday that congressional Democrats have adopted an "Oliver Stone approach" to the Mueller report. "Do you really believe that Bill Barr would give us a summary of the main findings and that this is not supported by the report?" Graham asked during an appearance on "Your World with Neil Cavuto" on Fox News. "Give me a break, I mean, this Oliver Stone approach to the Democrats' Mueller report is a bit old."
Graham reserved special criticism for House intelligence committee chairman Adam Schiff of D-Calif., Likening him to a character played by Kevin Costner in the movie "JFK", inspired by Stone's conspiracy in 1991.

"He's the character of Jim Garrison, looking for someone who has actually shot President Kennedy," Grahm said of Schiff. "It starts to be a little ridiculous, he told us repeatedly that he knew there was collusion, he had proof of that, and that's why Mr. Mueller downplayed this story. Graham also explained his request to Barr to appoint a second special council to review allegations of violations of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) at the start of the investigation in Russia.
"Republicans think that the FBI and the GM – the highest personalities – have done themselves justice, because they wanted Clinton to win and Trump to lose," he told Cavuto. "You know, there is a lot of suspicion, there is a lot of direct evidence of bias, I think, let us somebody like a Mueller look at the other side of the story."
The senator stated that he wanted to know what role Steele's record, unverified and salacious, had played in obtaining a warrant to oversee the communications of the Trump campaign's foreign policy advisor, Carter Page.

"How could the system allow a file prepared by a foreign agent and paid for by the Democratic Party – and this has not been verified to date – to be used four times to obtain a warrant against a US citizen ? " Graham asked. "And the evidence is pretty clear to me, without the record, the warrant would not have been issued.That should upset all Americans, that the system is so distorted."
Graham said that "counterintelligence investigations are designed to protect the target from foreign influence. [Sen.] Dianne Feinstein [D-Calif.] If anyone in her office was working for the Chinese, they told her about it and she fired it.
