Wind power in commercial mode or test rose 1.5% in the first half, according to statistics released by the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (ELETEN).

More specifically, the power at the end of June 2018 was 2,690.5 MW, up 39.2 MW from the end of 2017.

Of these 2,368.8 MW are located in the interconnected system and 321.7 MW in the non-interconnected islands

At the level of the region, Sterea Hellas remains at the top of the wind farms 8 MW (33.4%) followed by the Peloponnese with 522 MW (19.4% ) and East Macedonia and Thrace with 335.5 MW (12.5%)

With regard to business groups, Among the top 5 companies, TERNA Energy with 536, 1 MW (20%), ANEMOS (ELLAKTOR) with 285.5 MW (10.6%), Iberdrola Rokas with 250.7 MW (9.3%), EDF Hellas with 238.2 MW (8.9%) and ENEL Green Power with 200.5 MW (7.5%)

On the builders' side, Vestas supplied 50.6% of the total wind energy installed in Greece. Followed by Enercon with 22.7%, Siemens-Gamesa with 19.6% and Nordex with 5.6%

By the end of June 2018, additional wind investments of more than 500 MW should be made in operation in Next 18 months
