The expansion of gas networks in 43 cities in the region and the main islands (Crete, Rhodes, Mytilene, Samos and Chios) to supply more than 32,000 consumers, mainly domestic, provides a five-year (2018-2022) of the public gas distribution network, which was put into public consultation by the Energy Regulatory Authority
The total amount of investments is 190.8 million. 39 euros and will be financed by the NSRF (50%), borrowing (40%) and the equity of the company. A total of 27,869 new domestic customers, 4,833 traders and 82 industries will be supplied with the construction of new networks
In detail, planning for network expansion includes the following areas:
• Sterea Ellada Region : Lamia, Chalkis, Thiva, Livadia, Delphi and Karpenisi. It is planned to connect 9,334 households, 1,021 commercial customers and 10 industrial customers.
• Central Macedonia Region: Katerini, Kilkis, Serres, Alexandria, Veria and Pella. There are 6,068 households, 1,194 commercial customers and 12 industrial customers
• Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region: Municipalities of Alexandroupolis, Orestiada, Komotini, Xanthi, Kavala and Drama. The networks will be connected to 7,639 households, 1,685 commercial customers and 33 new industrial end customers
. • Western Greece Region: municipalities of Patras, Agrinio and Pyrgos. It will connect 2,437 households, 255 commercial customers and 23 industrial customers.
• Peloponnese Region: Corinth, Tripolis, Kalamata, Sparta, Argos – Mycenae and Nafplion. These networks will connect 230 residential customers and 85 commercial customers
• West Macedonia Region: The network will be expanded to Kastoria, Argos Orestiko and Grevena. There will be 1,231 households, 308 commercial customers and 4 industrial
• Epirus: Municipalities of Ioannina, Arta, Preveza and Igoumenitsa. 690 residential customers and 165 commercial customers will be connected
• Region of Crete: Municipalities of Heraklion, Rethymno, Chania, Agios Nikolaos. There are 120 households and 60 connected commercial customers
• North Aegean Region: municipalities of Lesbos, Samos and Chios. 90 households and 45 commercial customers will be connected
• Southeast Aegean Region: Municipality of Rhodes. There are 30 households and 15 connected commercial customers
