Except the E3 2019, the PlayStation!

[ad_1]

Sony Interactive Entertainment may be hugely successful with the increased sales of the PlayStation 4, but it looks like E3 is upset by 2019, according to reports from Variety, who will be absent from the next show. This information was "buried" (as reported by the media) in the recent announcement of the Entertainment Software Association. This is the first time in 24 years that E3 has been launched by PlayStation. This is the second major PlayStation event canceled by the company in recent months, after Shawn Layden announced in September that there would be no PlayStation experience this year.

The timing of such a decision is however fortuitous, because we know that the Japanese company is already working on the successor of PlayStation 4 (the PlayStation 5?). The biggest puzzle now is that ESA sees another big company leaving its most important event.

Update 1
Sony has officially released noting that "While the sector is growing, Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for new opportunities for interaction with the public. PlayStation fans are important to us and we always want to lead, think differently and experiment. As a result, we will not be attending E2 in 2019. We are looking for new ways to interact with the community in 2019 and we are pleased to inform you.".
