How will the new identifiers be – how much will it cost?

According to the "NEW", the new identity card will have the size of a credit card and will be issued with an electronic fee of 10 euros. The new identity cards will be valid up to 15 years for people over 12 years old. Old pieces of identity must be replaced within five years of the start of the process of issuing new documents. According to the joint ministerial decision published in the Official Journal at the end of April, the question of new identities will be made beginning of 2019. The technical specifications of the new identities have been defined and it will take a few days at the Ministry of Citizen Protection of interest to the largest companies in the industry worldwide. The project has a total budget of 350 million euros, as it provides for an agreement with the contractor and the issuance of pbadports. The contract with the company providing the Pbadport Authority expires in April 2019 and the ministry's management has decided to proceed with a "package" for identity and biometric pbadports.
