After several months of investigation, two criminal organizations, whose members were involved in drug trafficking in Karditsa, were formed. As part of an organized police operation that took place early in the morning (12-07-2018) in various neighborhoods of Karditsa, a total of 8 people – members of organizations, aged 22-44, including three were arrested – were arrested.

In particular, since January 2018, the two criminal organizations, having a specific structure and lasting action, were involved in drug trafficking in the Karditsa areas. More specifically, it was verified that the first organization consisted of seven members, one of whom was 26 years old and had a leading role.
The second organization consisted of six members, guided by a 42-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, while a 22-year-old was active in both organizations. In the surveys conducted in the houses of arrested persons, badisted by police dogs, a total of 20 cannabis plants, up to 3.2 meters, 48.3 grams of cannabis, 5 precision scales, 57 tablets of narcotics, without the necessary prescription.
In addition, a clay figurine head that falls under the Antiquities Act, 69 bed turns, 10 knives, two counterfeit bills of 500 euros and 100 dollars. 4 private vehicles were seized. pbadenger cars and two motorcycles, as well as 22 mobile phones. Those arrested were brought to Ms. Karditsa's attorney, while the preliminary investigation was conducted by the Karditsa Security Department.
