The project involves the construction of a 2.36 km long railway quadrilateral, of which 1.91 km underground / underground, from the SS exit. Athens (Thessaloniki 10 + 821) and ends at Three Bridges (CH 13 + 181) in the Sepolion area of the city of Athens, where it meets the newly constructed and operational new four-lane railway corridor.
The new railway corridor will have a double section. The eastern half of the east will serve the movement of commuter trains, while the movement of intercity trains will head west.
The new double railway line is gradually built on the existing traffic area – first the west corridor and then the east.
In summary, the project topic includes:
* The Under-Cover technique, consisting of 47 individual technicians built in two (2) phases (west-east corridor).
* Temporary hydraulic works
* Permanent hydraulic projects (drainage and drainage of tunnels, overpbades of the entire network and rainwater and wastewater networks)
* Mechanical facilities of the underground technician and pumping stations for the sanitation and drainage of tunnel storms.
* Service buildings (E / M installations).
* Construction of two new pedestrian overpbades.
* The construction of the superstructure of the railway line.
* Restoration of the lateral and vertical road network.
* Green projects and landscape restoration.
Qualitative upgrade of all areas around Sepolia
It should be noted that the laying of underground railway lines has been for many years a demand of the inhabitants of the region, which is carried out by ERGOSE and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The project will contribute to the aesthetic modernization of the region, mainly due to:
* The substantial consolidation of the entire section of the road, which to this day is separated from the "barrier" of the railway.
* The performance of a central green island in the neighborhood.
* Minimize noise pollution
* Improve the quality of the atmosphere.
The return of the area returned to residents, enriched by "neighborhood uses", with significant green growth and the organization of urban amenities, will make a decisive contribution to the substantial modernization of all surrounding areas. # 39; Athens.
