Gregg Jarrett denounces Secretary of State for Biden, security adviser chooses as ‘tainted with scandal’

The choices of President-elect Joe Biden for the post of secretary of state and national security adviser are “marred by scandal,” Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett told “Hannity” on Tuesday.

According to Jarrett, designated National Security Advisor Jacob J. Sullivan was “knee deep in the [Hillary] Clinton email scandal. “

Sullivan, Clinton’s former deputy chief of staff during his tenure as secretary of state, “was sending classified top secret documents to Hillary Clinton’s private server,” said Jarrett, who added that Sulivan “should have been prosecuted.”

The only reason Sullivan did not face legal consequences, Jarrett claimed, was through the actions of “misfits” at the top of the FBI, including Peter Strzok and then-director James Comey.

Then, in January 2018, Sullivan brought up the now discredited Trump-Russia case on a podcast hosted by former Obama campaign manager David Axelrod.

“I certainly don’t want my claim that I didn’t know who paid for the case to suggest that I’m saying I want to walk away from it,” Sullivan said, according to The Daily Caller. “I’m not saying that at all.”

Sullivan went on to tell Axelrod that it was “perfectly appropriate” to believe there were “real questions” about Trump’s ties to the Russian entities.

Speaking to Secretary of State-designate Antony Blinken, Jarrett noted that Hunter Biden requested a meeting with Blinken days before the dismissal of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma Holding, the energy company in which Hunter served. to the board of directors.

The Washington Post reported last year that the meeting scheduled for May 2015 had not taken place due to the death of then-vice president’s eldest son Beau Biden. The Post, however, reported that Blinken and Hunter Biden met in July and “talked about Beau and the Biden family.” The Post reported that according to a person familiar with the meeting, the two did not discuss Burisma.

“You’d think Joe Biden would be smart enough to steer clear of those tainted by the scandal,” Jarrett told guest host Jason Chaffetz, “but he stepped in directly.”
