LONE STAR, Texas (KLTV) – A fisherman found the body of a missing female Lone Star on Tuesday, six days after she went missing.

Brenda Leftwich was last seen on Wednesday evening walking south on Highway 259 back to her apartment complex in Lone Star.

His body was found on the shores of Lone Star Lake on Tuesday.

The lake is a hundred yards from the apartments where Leftwich lived.

Police had scoured the area for clues, but returned empty-handed, except for a security video from a local business.

Constable Kenny Taylor, who is the missing woman’s son-in-law, said authorities have been looking for her since she went missing.

“We have organized search teams, we have searched the lake now with drones and dogs. We did it all, ”Taylor said.

Authorities spoke with neighbors the day Taylor’s wife found out about her disappearance, but neighbors said they saw nothing unusual.

“The day she went missing was her late husband’s birthday, and they were going to go to his gravestone in Hughes Springs and put flowers on his grave,” Taylor said.

“Hopefully, you know, the good Lord will bring her back to us. There is really nothing else we can do right now, ”Taylor said.

Police said she had medical issues, which added urgency to the search.
