WIMBLEDON, England (AP) – Simona Halep reached the semifinals of Wimbledon for the second time, beating Zhang Shuai 7-6 (4), 6-1.

Halep was beaten in her first service match while Zhang had a 3-0 lead in the first set, and Romania scored four more points at 4-1. But she eventually served serve in a game that featured six points and then broke back to make it 4-3. In the tiebreak, she converted her first set point by winning right.

In the second set, Halep broke twice to take a 5-1 lead and converted his second match point with a forehand to the net.

The Roland-Garros champion in 2018 is looking for her second Grand Slam title, but has not reached the semi-finals of the All England Club since 2014. She will then face Elina Svitolina or Karolina Muchova.
