Hamilton County reported 11 more deaths from the coronavirus on Monday.
That brings the county’s death toll to 313.
The county also reported 425 new cases of COVID-19, with 196 inpatients and 54 in intensive care units. Thirteen others were in hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 82 are county residents.
Hamilton County’s new case count is 34,254.
The number of those who have recovered from the coronavirus in Hamilton County is 29,224, or 85%, and there are 4,717 active cases.
County Mayor Jim Coppinger said he would hold a press conference Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Golley auditorium of the health department.
He said he would make an announcement “regarding the ongoing battle against COVID-19”.
The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee stands at 657,396 on Monday with 3,527 new cases. There have been 80 other deaths from the virus, for a total of 7,865, state health department officials said.
The state currently has 3,079 people hospitalized with the virus.
The numbers of tests are over 5.879 million statewide.
The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 568,910, 87%.

Polk County: 1,346 cases, up from 8; 17 dead
Rhea County: 3,642 cases, up from 15; 53 dead
Sequatchie County: 1,311 cases, up from 3; 18 dead
Knox 36,973 cases, up to 256; 361 deaths, up from 4
Davidson 67,992 cases, up from 347; 628 deaths, up from 2
Shelby 73,322 cases, up to 482; 1,039 deaths, up 10
