Hamilton County has 432 new COVID cases, 3 new deaths, record 151 hospitalizations; Tennessee has 3,967 new COVID cases, 93 more deaths

Hamilton County reported 467 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. The new total is 19,501.

There were three more deaths from the virus in the county reported on Thursday, one man and two women, one was white, one was black and one was not yet determined, two were between 61 and 70 years old and one was between ages 71-80, bringing the total to 164.

Hamilton County had 151 patients hospitalized with the virus, the highest to date, with 33 other suspected cases.

Of these, 90 are county residents, another record. There are 26 people in intensive care.

The number of those who have recovered from the coronavirus in Hamilton County is 16,709, or 86%, and there are 2,628 active cases.

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee stands at 388,252 as of Thursday with 3,967 new cases. There have been 93 other deaths from the virus, for a total of 4,781, state health department officials said.

The state currently has 2,476 people hospitalized with the virus, 2 fewer than Wednesday.

There were 347,412 people who recovered from the virus in Tennessee (89%).

The numbers of tests are over 4.593 million statewide.

Bradley County: 5,716 cases, up from 73; 37 deaths

Grundy County: 806 cases, up from 3; 14 dead

Marion County: 1,187 cases, up from 21; 19 dead

Meigs County: 525 cases, up from 3; 12 dead

Polk County: 709 cases, up from 4; 15 dead

Rhea County: 1,878 cases, up 19; 36 deaths, up from 3

Sequatchie County: 584 cases, up from 18; 5 dead
