Harris rocking stores will temporarily close earlier starting Wednesday, September 15, and Publix has already reduced their opening hours.
Opening hours for the new Harris Teeter store
Harris Teeter temporary store hours will be 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting September 15, 2021, until further notice.
In addition, as of September 15, the service counter of the fresh food market will close at 8 p.m. and all amenities will close at 7 p.m.
Butcher’s and fishermen’s service counters will also close at 8 p.m.
According to Danna Robinson, communications manager at Harris Teeter, the changes are taking place “to focus on the deep cleaning, replenishment, staffing and well-being of our valued associates.”
The company statement also said, “We believe that closing our stores earlier will allow our valued associates to: Take their earned days off; efficiently process ExpressLane orders; manage the workforce in this difficult work environment; ensure excellent closings to better prepare for the next day; and make sure our stores are a clean and safe place to work and shop. “
On their website, the company said, “We thank our buyers and community members for continuing to show care, gratitude and kindness to our hard-working and appreciated associates and your fellow buyers.”
Harris Teeter Pharmacy Hours
The opening hours of the pharmacy will remain the same:
Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday: 11 am-5pm
Harris Teeter Senior Store Hours
The store still offers Senior Shopping hours every Monday and Thursday morning from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. for buyers aged 60 and over and other vulnerable populations. They have also designated ExpressLane online shopping pickup times for those aged 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday. They are waiving the $ 4.95 fee and will offer the $ 5 delivery to seniors.

Publix stores in the Triangle also began to close earlier. Most stores now close at 9 or 10 p.m.
