Harry Brant – the flamboyant fashionista son of billionaire Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour – has died of an accidental drug overdose, his family announced Monday. He was 24 years old.
The bon vivant who bends sex – a trendy couture icon with his older brother Peter Jr. – was found dead on Sunday, just days before he entered rehab, his parents said in a statement to the Post.
“It is with immense sadness that we share with you the news that our beloved son Harry Brant lost his battle with drug addiction and died as a result of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs,” reads. one in the press release from Stephanie and Peter Brant.
“Our hearts are broken. Harry wanted to overcome his addiction and was only days away from rehab.
“We will be forever saddened that Harry’s life was interrupted by this devastating illness. We ask that you please allow our family’s privacy as we try to cope with the loss of our beautiful and beautiful boy. “
Harry and his brother – often described as the male version of the famous rich sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton – were known at New York’s hottest parties and front row attendees of major international fashion shows.
“Harry loved fashion and was a pioneer in men’s beauty and cosmetics – collaborating with a major brand on a unisex cosmetics line,” his family said.
“He’s accomplished a lot in 24 years, but we’ll never get to see what more Harry could have done.
Growing up in their privileged world, Harry walked through the family mansion on their 300-acre estate in Greenwich, Ct., Complete with dozens of ponies, a polo field – and a 41-foot sculpture of Jeff Koons in the front yard. –and being asked by his father about the names of the artists whose priceless works adorned the walls, wrote Harper’s Bazaar magazine in a family profile in 2014.

The brothers’ father, Peter Sr., is the Queens-born owner of newsprint manufacturer White Birch Paper and Brant Publications, Inc., whose holdings include Interview magazine founded by Andy Warhol. Peter Sr. is also a world renowned art collector and loves to play polo, although he is said to have a temper that has earned him the nickname “John McEnroe of polo”.
The gorgeous mother of the boys, Seymour, was one of the first – and most famous – angels of the Victoria’s Secret lingerie company.
Her beautiful sons inherited her modeling genes and worked for various agencies – as well as created a unisex makeup line for MAC Cosmetics.
Yet Gucci’s eccentric siblings and lovers – and their parents – have been no strangers to controversy over the years.
Harry Brant was arrested in 2016 on charges of theft and drug trafficking for allegedly skipping a $ 27.85 cab fare and getting caught “with a white substance” which later tested positive for drugs.
That same year, her brother Peter was charged with assault after he allegedly got into a drunken fight with a port authority cop at JFK Airport. In 2012, Peter was also caught joking online about the murder of President Obama.
In 2009, Peter Brant Sr. accused Seymour of being an “unfit mother” in divorce cases, alleging that she had taken pills and abused alcohol. The couple have since reconciled.
In 2014, Seymour was charged with DUI after overturning her Range Rover on a freeway ramp and hitting a road sign.
Her husband also spent 84 days behind bars for tax evasion.
