Health officials are warning anyone who has visited two restaurants in Suffolk County may have been exposed to COVID-19.
The Suffolk Department of Health says people who ate at Senor Taco Mexican Grill & Bar on Route 25A at Mount Sinai on November 20 or 24 may have been exposed.
The other restaurant warning concerns people who visited Phil’s Restaurant, on Wading River Manor Road in Wading River, from November 20 to 24.
Health officials say more than one person linked to each of these restaurants is infected with the virus.
Those who have been potentially exposed are advised to monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days after visiting either restaurant.
Statement from Phil from Phil’s Restaurant to News 12:
“Phil has been 100% transparent, the Department of Health having had several conversations with a nurse at DOH. We voluntarily called 311 during this situation to get as much direction as possible. Phil closed on Nov 25-26 so we could thoroughly review the staff work schedule to ensure that anyone who may have been in contact or working with a positive staff member was not in the building during this period and remained outside the quarantine period. . I think we’ve taken all the necessary steps to be one of the safest restaurants from day one of reopening, to keep our customers and staff in the safest environment possible. At Phil, we all want to thank our loyal customers for their continued support. “-Philip Marcario
