Heather Morris defends tweet about ‘Glee’ co-star Mark Salling: ‘He was part of our family

Morris responded to McHale’s tweet, sharing that “the face threw up on Marks [sic] the face is offensive. “

Joy fans flooded Morris’s responses with criticism, Express disapproval that she apparently chose to side with Salling, whose crimes were worse than an emoji.

The actress took to Twitter on Friday, December 18 to defend her thoughts on her deceased co-star. “I don’t feel the need to justify something because it’s better to leave something unsaid,” she wrote. “All of you who have a lot to say, I get it, I UNDERSTAND YOU … something is unforgivable. But this holiday season, of ALL the holiday periods, is AMAZING for many of us.”

“We did not lose [sic] just 2 cast members, we lost 3, ”she continued, referring to Cory Monteith, who died in 2013, and Naya Rivera, who died in July 2020.“ And it’s so hard to have to acting like this third is invisible, because even though his actions are unjustifiable, he was part of our family at one point and he was mentally SICK. “

She concluded by stating, “THANK YOU for treating me with such disrespect and meanness for such a period that I cannot go a day without watching the loss of my entire Glee family … thank you.”
