To achieve this monster upgrade, Hennessey adds a twin-turbo system and upgrades the intercooler system and fuel system. Other modifications include a stainless steel exhaust system, upgraded pistons and rods, a transmission upgrade and a high-speed air induction system to help the 2020 GT500 to deal with all these extra muscles.

To remind people that this is not a regular GT500, there are embroidered headrests and a serial numbered dash plate, signed by John Hennessey, as well as Hennessey and Venom 1200 exterior badges. There is also a serial number plate of the engine compartment. Each car receives chassis tests before and after modification and tests at a distance of 150 miles. Hennessey also offers a one year / 12,000 mile warranty. Prices for Hennessey's upgrade packages have not been announced yet, but the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 starts at $ 70,300.
