Doses of the coronavirus vaccine will be available this week for eligible people in every parish in Louisiana.
The vaccine will be delivered to 378 suppliers, including pharmacies and hospitals, in all 64 parishes, the Louisiana Department of Health said Monday morning.
Doses will only be available to those eligible under the Phase 1B, Level 1 guidelines. Which includes:
- People 65 and over
- Dialysis providers and patients
- Outpatient and outpatient providers and staff
- Behavioral health providers and staff

Urgent care clinic providers and staff

Community and personal care providers

Dental providers and staff
- Professional home care providers (including palliative care workers) and home care recipients (including older people with disabilities and young people over 16 years of age receiving community or home care, as well as agency clients home health care)
- Interpreters and Support Service Providers (SSP) working in community and clinical settings, and clients who are deaf and blind
- Health related support staff (laboratory staff, mortuary staff in contact with corpses, pharmacy staff)
- Schools for students, residents and paramedics
- List provided by the Louisiana Department of Health.
In order to receive the vaccine, a person must make an appointment with the provider. A person who arrives at a drop-in location will not receive a vaccine.
Louisiana expanded its eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine on Thursday, allowing people 65 and over to get the vaccine now.
