INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An active weather week ahead, with several chances of rain in the forecast as well as much cooler temperatures by the middle of the week.
Sunday:
We will start with beautiful sunny skies across the state. Clouds will gradually increase during the afternoon. The highs hit the mid to high 80s.
Sunday night:
Scattered showers arrive from the southwest and begin to fill in central Indiana late and overnight.
The lowest falls in the upper 60s.
On Monday:
Expect scattered showers and storms throughout the day. No severe weather is expected, but the potential for heavy rains is possible. Fortunately, since we’ve been so dry, we shouldn’t have to worry about flooding issues.
The highs peak in the upper 70s.
8 day forecast:
The cold front crossing the state will bring scattered showers and storms to the region on Tuesday. Again, the potential for some heavy rail will be possible. The front will move from Tuesday evening to Wednesday. A few persistent showers will be possible Wednesday morning.
Much cooler air plunges for the first day of fall Wednesday, with highs only in the mid-60s Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll see a return to the lower 70s by the weekend.
