Starting Friday, all Colorado residents aged 16 and over will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. But the eligibility is the easiest part.

The hardest part is knowing how and where to make an appointment for a vaccine and whether you can register before an appointment before you are eligible. It is confusing and frustrating. But we’re almost there.

When trying to make an appointment, keep these five things in mind:

  1. There is no centralized and completely simple way to make or even just view appointments. If you refresh pages to see if new dating slots have opened up, you’re not alone.
  2. You may or may not be able to make an appointment before Friday. Some places allow scheduling now, even if your eligibility group is not yet open, but others are not. Keep trying if you want, or wait until Friday, April 2, when anyone over the age of 16 is eligible for a photo. And even then, keep trying.
  3. Ask your friends and family how they got the vaccine. They may know of a clinic or vaccination site that is not listed here. Share information and let us know what we should add to our list by emailing [email protected].

  5. Do not abandon. Governor Polis said anyone in Colorado who wants a vaccine should be fully immunized by mid-May.

Colorado has several vaccination sites near Denver – some are state-run and others are administered by the COVIDCheck Colorado organization. Larger arena sites can deliver up to 6000 doses per day depending on supply. You may be able to make an appointment now or you may be placed on a waitlist until you are eligible.

Mayor Hancock said these sites are for people who live in these neighborhoods to ensure black and Latin American residents have access to vaccines. Eligible people living in these neighborhoods who wish to make appointments should call 720-865-3005. (Note: If you receive a “not in service” message, it means more than 30 people are calling at that time, a city spokesperson in Denverite said via email. The city is working to increase the number of people calling. capacity of its hotline.)
