How are people going to enter the infinity pool on the roof of London with 360 views

Infinity pools are a staple of beach resorts and upscale hotels – but you probably have not seen one like this before. Compass Pools plans to build a borderless pool at the top of a 55-storey London skyscraper offering 360-degree views of the city's skyline.

But there is only one problem. People do not know how you are supposed to come in and out of the pool.

The Compass Pools website states that swimmers will use a spiral staircase "based on the door of a submarine" that rises from the pool floor. Alex Kemsley, pool designer and technical director for Compass Pools, told Business Insider's sister site, INSIDER, that the staircase was working like "a tube in a tube".

"The first tube is to cut a path in the water and create an airlock," he said. "The second to deliver the stairs up to the water level." The company chose not to add stairs to the outside of the building or pool as this would ruin the view.

He added that the staircase is controlled by a PLC, which ensures that all locks and valves work at the right time.

But that did not stop the spectators from speculating on how the swimmers are supposed to come in and out of the pool after the news of his debut.

Many people have compared the design of the pool to a real-world experience of the popular life simulation video game "The Sims" that went wrong.

Construction plans for the building are expected to begin in 2020, and upper floors will include a five-star hotel, spa, apartments and outposts in the luxury business.
