How New York Lottery $ 437 Million Jackpot Winners Stayed Anonymous

The group won the Mega Millions New Year's jackpot, for a total of $ 437 million.

According to the New York Post, a lawyer in the group is reminded that Governor Cuomo vetoed a bill in December that would have allowed winners of lotteries to remain incognito.

The governor, however, mentioned a loophole.

He said the winners have been creating limited liability companies for decades to collect their winnings.

The winners therefore claimed their prize under the name New Life 2019 LLC in January.

They must each keep nearly $ 8 million each.
