If you are a healthcare worker, resident, or staff at a nursing home in Los Angeles County, you are now eligible for the vaccine. Governor Gavin Newsom on Wednesday announced that people 65 and older are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. This is not the case everywhere. In Orange County, residents 65 years of age and older can register for a vaccination appointment through Othena. The Orange County health care agency tweeted that more than 10,000 people signed up on the first day he was available.
But if you live in LA County, you probably can’t make an appointment for a vaccine yet. But the county and an affiliated immunization clinic allow people to sign up to receive an email when it’s their turn.
How to register to find out when you can get the vaccine

This will sign you up for the county’s COVID-19 vaccine e-newsletter, which will include updates and information on groups eligible to get vaccinated.
