US prosecutors are investigating new cases of alleged theft of technology perpetrated by Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people close to the case.

US prosecutors are investigating new cases of alleged theft of technology perpetrated by Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer, Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people close to the case.

Huawei is accused of stealing the intellectual property of individuals and businesses for several years and having recruited employees from its competitors, the report added.

Huawei and the Ministry of Justice were not immediately available to respond to Reuters' request for comment.
