Human remains found in a Kentucky home have been identified as Savannah Spurlock, ending the search for the 23-year-old mother, who has been living for several months, police said Thursday.

Kentucky police chief Robert Purdy told reporters Thursday afternoon that remains found just before midnight on the property had been identified as Spurlock after an autopsy.

The medical examiner has not yet announced the cause of death, Purdy added.
