This is the team’s second victory in two years. The Bandits won the American Legion World Series with a 5-3 victory over Fargo, North Dakota in 2019. Last year’s tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Championship game in Shelby, North Carolina, was originally scheduled for Tuesday night, but was postponed until Wednesday due to bad weather.

The team is expected to arrive in Idaho Falls early Thursday morning. The community is invited to welcome them to their home in the Melaleuca parking lot between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.

“They’re bringing this back to town, let’s show them our love and support!” Be there !!! Another Facebook post says.
