Notable badyst Apple Ming-Chi Kuo shared some more predictions this week on Apple's upcoming 2018 iPhones. It is now well known that Apple is working on three iPhones of different sizes for this year, and Kuo Thursday had even more to share. The most interesting detail is that the new iPhones will come in some new colors. He believes that the larger iPhone X Plus 6.5-inch will be offered in black, white and a new golden color, while the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will come in gray, white, red and orange.
Kuo over the years has been largely on the spot with his predictions and so it seems likely that the next iPhones will see new flavors. The variety of colors for the iPhone LCD model recalls that of the iPhone 5C in 2013 when it debuted in green, blue, yellow, pink and white polycarbonate. Apple was not so surprised to add new colors and 9to5Mac created conceptual renderings (see above) on what future iPhones might look like by typing some of the new colors on a iPhone X.
The move comes after a few years of seeing Apple go with its typical color scheme like Space Gray / Black and Silver for its iPhone models. The company is also known to bring out a red color variant to signify its badociation with the Product (RED) organization. Apple was also considering a gold color variant of the iPhone X because some FCC prototype images suggested by the FCC a few months ago, but Apple could not meet the requirements and finally put the plan on hold.
Kuo predicted in the past that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will be a popular option among Apple fans as it will be the cheapest of the three iPhones 2018 and will also bring an iPhone design X-like. Add to that attractive new colors and we could see sales improve a lot more this year. After the latest report, Kuo also increased its forecast for iPhone sales, waiting for the iPhone LCD model to account for 55 percent of sales once the new iPhones came out. Kuo is expecting an initial demand for the 5.8 inch and 6.5 inch OLED iPhones, after which people will turn to the cheaper LCD model at $ 700.
The badyst goes on to say that Apple will experience a significant year According to reports from Kuo and other sources, the iPhone X Plus will cost $ 1,000 more than the $ 39. iPhone X, while the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone will cost a few notches below and the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will cost between $ 600 and $ 700. The iPhone LCD will lose Touch ID and bring a unique rear camera to keep the price more affordable.
