What it is: Proof that Ford will offer the Raptor Raptor in the left-hand driving markets. The all-terrain van was officially unveiled earlier this year in Thailand as a right-hand driving model, representative of the truck Ford will be selling in the Asia-Pacific markets. Nevertheless, it is expected that the Raptor Ranger will be sold in a number of other markets, including the United States, which need the wheel on the other side. This is our best look for this truck. Unsurprisingly, the left-handed Ranger Raptor mirrors that of its right-hand twin. Flared fenders, generous ground clearance, squat tires and a distinctive F-150 Raptor grille give the vehicle an off-road look that matches its irresistible look.

Why it matters: Between the excitement surrounding the return of the Ford Ranger to the US market and the rabid fan base for the F-150 Raptor, the Ranger Raptor is sure to attract its share of attention. Given the buyers today who love trucks, we suspect that Ford will have no trouble moving every Raptor Ranger that it builds. In addition, the model is sure to drive people into Ford showrooms and help sell non-Raptorized Rangers.

2021 Ford Ranger Raptor spied with left hook direction
Platform: The Raptor Ranger will share its fundamentals with the standard Ranger. However, Ford will bring a myriad of improvements to the truck to ensure its off-road prowess. A long travel suspension configuration with Fox internal bypbad dampers is a given, as is a wider track and additional ground clearance.
Powertrain While the Ranger Rangers of Asia-Pacific will be motivated by a two-cylinder in-line 2.0-liter with 200 horsepower-which seems to be the engine in the truck shown here-American Raptor Ranger should throw diesel for the One of Ford's V6 petrol engines. We would put our money on Blue Oval's 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 to find its way under the truck's hood. The engine makes 325 horsepower in the biggest F-150 and 335 in the 2019 ST Edge, and we expect it to display similar numbers in the Raptor Ranger.
