3 ways to take a screenshot on Redmi Y2

Recently, Xiaomi launched another budget peripheral in India, Redmi Y2. It has the power of Snapdragon 625 in its heart and comes in 2 variants. One with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage while the other with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. This device is mainly focused on selfie game. It also provides you with 3 different ways to capture a screenshot and you can use the one with which you are comfortable. Let's see these three ways here.

The usual low power + volume knob

This way is one of the most commonly used ways to capture a screen capture on the majority of smartphones. That's because it's easy enough to use.

To capture a screenshot using this, only hold the Power and Volume Down button at the same time .

Yes, it's all and you'll have a screen capture saved in your device gallery.

From Notification Panel

Not all manufacturers provide a shortcut in the notification panel to capture screen capture. But Xiaomi works and works as expected.

If you want to capture a screenshot using this method, simply swipe the notification panel and you will see an option named Screenshot . Just click on it once and finished

Scan of three fingers

If you do not want to use the methods mentioned above, then this is the option for you. It has become one of the most common gestures provided by a manufacturer to take a screenshot and it works very well. This should be enabled by default on Redmi Y2. If it's not done yet, then go to Settings➝ Extra Settings➝Button and Shortcuts Gestures➝Take a screenshot and set it to Slide 3 Fingers Down .

Once you have enabled this, you can just slide 3 fingers down on the screen to capture a screenshot.
